Many of our clients are avid golfers and hikers, who play tennis, ski, paddleboard, swim, run, and more.  Others simply want to feel better than they do today.  Our mission with each of our clients is to build and develop a strong and mobile foundation from which they can excel in their chosen sports and activities and feel better every day.  

Unlike some boutique fitness studios, we do not race from trend to trend, constantly trying to utilize the newest fitness tool that’s popped up in social media.  We base our programs on developing solutions to the challenges our clients face and we do that using evidence-informed training protocols and the appropriate tools for the job.  We are not tied to specific tools or methods, we base our success on our clients' results.

Founder Story

I became fascinated with exercise science when I was in my early 20s and I had started amateur competitive kickboxing. At that time, I wanted to learn all I could about fitness and nutrition to support my training so I started studying the subject.

During my 7th year of competition, I suffered an ACL rupture. As I worked through the recovery from knee surgery, I also started studying materials relative to sports injuries, rehabilitation and strengthening programs to support injury resistance and resilience.

Ultimately, I went back to school, earning my Masters degree in exercise science with a focus in rehabilitation sciences which then led me to school for my massage therapy license.

As a kickboxer, I had the opportunity to train newer fighters in our club and it was then that I discovered my love for teaching. In addition to the skills of kickboxing, I began adding in corrective, mobility and specific sports-performance work to our training routines. 

This was the beginning of my love for facilitating resilience and injury-prevention with our fighters and eventually all of my personal training clients. Today, this focus on strength, stability and mobility are the foundations of what we do at Quinntessential Fitness.
